There are several ways to use promotional products to the greatest effect, one of the most important being to ensure that you are giving your current or potential clients something that they want. While it might be a fun idea to give a crazy, fun or wacky product away like balloons, giant soft toys or something along those lines, after the amusement is over your client may not give such items another look. The best tactic is to give them something that they’ll want, something that they’ll use every day – and something that they need.

One of the greatest things about giving away promotional ballpoint pens is that they are unquestionably crucial in everybody’s life. We all need a pen at some point, whether it’s as we’re taking notes on the phone, writing a reminder to ourselves or jotting down an order – but they’re never around when we need them. That’s where your company comes in – by giving away promotional pens with your company name and logo on them, you’re not only putting a reminder of your product out there, but you’re putting it in a place where it’s going to be seen regularly.

Promotional ballpoint pens are used by many companies and there is, unfortunately, a danger of just becoming one pen amongst many others from rival companies on a client’s desk. There’s no real way around this dilemma other than to ensure that your pen is nicely designed, looks good and – importantly – is of a decent quality. If you hand out poor quality pens that run out of ink after a few sentences, it is not going to reflect too well on you. You should always make sure that you give your customers something that is worth them owning, even if it’s just something simple like a ballpoint pen. It makes sense to imagine that if the products you give out for free are cheap and poorly made that the same level of uncaring might go into your other products, too.

Make your pens memorable: splash out a little more cash and get the kind that don’t smear, write on many different surfaces, the type that fit well in the customer’s hand. Promotional ballpoint pens that have these qualities will help you get well on the way to being the one company that your customer remembers – because these will be the pens they don’t want to lose.
