Omas Fountain Pens – Finest Italian Design and Quality
“A pen must make writing pleasurable.” Armondo Simoni
Hamilton and Brewer is pleased to announce the addition of OMAS pens to our offerings. OMAS, founded in 1925 by Armando Simoni, is a brand synonymous with classic styling and first-class design. Numerous delicate operations needed to create OMAS pens means that they are still handmade.
Armando Simoni applied his passion for Greek culture and extensive knowledge of ancient art in creating the style and look of OMAS pens. An expert engineer as well as a true pen enthusiast , Armondo Simoni applied his unique genius, creating the tools and equipment needed to knurl and facet pen bodies and to cut and grind nibs. Simoni’s work and dedication created the heritage for a brand that is admired and highly sought after.
The design and artisanship of OMAS is heralded through out the different models of pens. Some of the pens in the OMAS line are described below:
The Bologna Collection was designed to celebrate OMAS’ 80th Anniversary. It has undergone some improvements, being rebalanced to make writing even more pleasurable. The engraving on the nib of the fountain pen and the tip of the roller ball and ballpoint versions harkens the famous porticos of Bologna while the body color and shading evoke the atmosphere of nights in the celebrated and historic city. Palladium finish embellishments enhance the look and feel of the pens in the Bologna Collection.
The Emotica Collection, the newest in the OMAS line, celebrates the vitality of the company. This exceptional writing instrument is made with soft touch material and offers a new concept and design with an innovative, hinged clip that opens up as a stand for the cap. The fountain pen features a titanium nib and a cartridge/converter filling system. It is also available in roller ball and ballpoint pen as well as mechanical pencil models.
The OMAS 360 was first conceived over ten years ago and with its triangular shape, offers technical perfection and pure writing pleasure. The oversized 360 now features a flattened and tapered crown and pen end as well as shaping that smoothes from triangular to round for easier manageability. The barrel is trimmed with platinum plated fittings. The pen is offered in roller ball, ballpoint and fountain pen (bottle fill only). The fountain pen offers an 18kt gold and platinum flexible nib engraved with the 360 triangle logo.
OMAS also offers Special Editions that celebrate and commemorate significant historical and cultural events. These are limited edition, numbered models, done in conjunction with famous international partners and are highly prized by fountain pen enthusiasts.
